#FebPhotoADay Day 27 – Something You Ate

Day 9 of my juice fast. I’m not even liking the taste of the juice right now, so I barely drank any today. I mostly had water. Anyway, this is the extent of what I “ate”. I had a few sips of this, and a few sips of a green vegetable-based juice. Color me depressed (and starving). I don’t know how much longer I can do this.

  1. This sounds like a terrible idea. Why it just eat healthy things in moderation?

    • Only in America would someone say that a diet consisting of only raw fruits and vegetables in juice form sounds like a terrible idea.

  2. Honestly, I don’t know how you can do this, either. I would have to be hospitalized. May I ask why you need to “eat” healthy by taking in these fruits and veggies in juice form? Why can’t you just eat the fruits and veggies in their natural state? I think I’m missing some key piece of information here.

P.S. It’s not good (ever) to starve yourself.

    • Juice fasting dramatically increases the amount of veggies and fruits that one can consume in a day. The juicing extracts all the nutrients from the veggies and fruits. So I may take in the amount of nutrients from an insane amount of vegetables – far more than I could ever eat – while giving my digestive system a rest and allowing my body to detox and reboot.

      • Ah, yes. I hadn’t thought about the AMOUNT of fruits and veggies you can take in with eating them normally vs. fasting. I wasn’t thinking, I guess. I still couldn’t do it unless I absolutely had to. Drinking fruit smoothies sounds delicious. Drinking juiced veggies sounds disgusting.
